Go into your closet baby & give it to god.

Bernice Martin, better known as "Mama Bernice," was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in February 2022. 

Mama had a heart of faith and always told us to “Go into your closet baby and give it to God." 

She had many moments in her “closet” during her fight with Cancer. 

Still, she knew God had the final say! 

One of my last conversations with Mama, she said, “Baby, I don’t have a reason to cry, scream, or yell. I won’t give the devil the satisfaction. But when the pain gets to be too much, I will let you know”. 

On November 7, 2022, I picked her up for a doctor’s appointment, her face and eyes were jaundice. As she placed her hands on my shoulders and her head in the middle of my back, she trusted me to get her to the hospital. Without verbalizing, she let me know “the pain was too much”. Mama trusted God to the very end. She transitioned to Heaven on November 8, 2022, at 2:10am.
